5 Orange County Landmarks to See on a Group Trip
The Orange County landmarks you are about to “witness” will appeal to each of your five senses in equal parts. No matter what you and your group are looking for or hoping to accomplish, you will find it here.
From top sports to top foods and even living artwork, the area has it all. Here’s a look!
Top Orange County Landmarks No. 5: Angel Stadium of Anaheim
There may be a new location in their future, but it’s hard not to love the current one.
Baseball stadiums are not always the easiest to get in and out of, especially if you are with a group that has limited knowledge of the area to begin with. Not the case with Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
This venue is one of the most easily accessible in all of MLB. The beer selection and quality of hot dogs are steps above the competition. And if you and the gang are going to a night game, just show up several hours early and enjoy yourself at the legendary Disneyland, which is a simple hop-skip-and-jump away.
No. 4: Huntington Beach Pier
The folks in San Diego will tell you they have the prettiest beaches in the world, but one stop by the Huntington Beach Pier, and you won’t be as convinced.
The land and water areas surrounding Huntington Beach Pier are as beautiful as anywhere on earth, and very surfer-friendly if you have any of those traveling with you.
Pet lovers? It isn’t always easy finding a beach that will allow you to travel with your furry companions, but Huntington Beach Pier has a dog-friendly beach close-by also allowing you to take advantage.
No. 3: Balboa Village
Want more things to see in OC? Balboa Village will scratch any remaining itches you may have. That’s because it combines views, walkability, shopping, and dining to an unbeatable extent.
Children present in your group? You will find ample kid-friendly spots and fun zones along the way as you chow down on a fish taco or pizza slice. If you get an urge to see how “the other half lives,” there are also some gorgeous waterfront mansions exemplary of the area’s wealth and sophistication.
No. 2: California Scenario
If in the mood to see any Orange County monuments, you will find none more appealing to the eye and the ancillary experience than the California Scenario, which TripAdvisor has rated the No. 1 monument in the entire region.
Boasting breathtaking gardens, foliage, and hiking trails, it is a pure delight for an outdoorsy type, especially if you like to snap a pic or two.
Group feeling a little strapped for cash? If so, don’t feel bad; lots of people are when they visit here. But that’s another reason to make time for the California Scenario monument — absolutely free and you could easily pass an entire day out here without even realizing it.
No. 1: Pageant of the Masters
Sitting at the top of this list of OC recommendations, is the unlikely work of living art known as the Pageant of the Masters. Lots of locations have great restaurants and historical attractions, but few go to the extent of inventing an entirely unique experience not seen anywhere else.
Pageant of the Masters is a rare location that bucks the trend. For nearly 90 years, teams of actors, designers, makeup professionals, and other skilled craftsmen and women have recreated some of the world’s most popular paintings and sculptures using “human clay” for a 3D experience unlike any other.
The coming year’s Pageant of the Masters just announced and will take place from July 7 through Aug. 31, 2017.
